Urbana Literary & Arts Magazine was founded in 2008 and its purpose throughout the years has been to promote artistic and creative work within our student body of over 3,000. Since its inception, our magazine has taken pride in its sole mission of serving as a medium of expression for all students. Urbana Literary & Arts Magaine Vol. 12 was published in 2019, and is free to anyone at Miami-Dade College. Three hundred copies were printed.

Urbana Literary & Arts Magazine is published once a year by students currently enrolled in credit courses at Miami Dade College, Eduardo J. Padron Campus at 627 SW 27th Ave, Miami, FL 33135. For this year’s volume, the staff decided to not have an official theme until it emerged from the submissions. Submissions were received electronically at email@example.com. They were logged for control purposes and stripped of authors’ names and information before being distributed to staff for review, selection, and editing.
This volume was created using a MacBook Pro with Adobe InDesign CC 2018 software. The fonts used throughout the magazine are Legion Spartan, Minion Pro, and Avenir (regular, bold, and italics). The cover of this volume was printed on 100LB silk coated paper and the pages are printed on 100LB dull-coated paper. Moreover, no contributor and/or staff member of Urbana Literary & Arts Magazine received any monetary reward while engaging in this extracurricular activity.
