Giuliana Mesa was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She arrived in the U.S. at the age of 11. She is an undergraduate Honors pursuing a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Linguistics at Miami-Dade Honors College. As the Director of Blogs at Urbana Literary and Arts Magazine, she helps students understand the humanities aspect of their major and how they can use it to help society as a whole.
